A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CAMPER - Each day at camp is very productive and very active. This is a process and performance based camp that culminates in a performance. The campers follow a daily rotation schedule of classes designed to introduce them to the following areas of the performing arts: Drama, Dance, Music, and Film. The rotation schedule also allots time for two snacks, lunch and supervised free time / activities.
MORNING DROP OFF - Please allot extra time on the very first day. We begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. We ask that you please walk your camper in on the first day to meet their counselor in person, make sure that we have all needed paperwork, lunch / snacks are taken care of, meet the rest of our staff and get a feel for what our camp is all about. From that point on, you may either drop off your child or continue to escort them inside.
AFTERNOON PICK UP - Everyone is welcome to come inside at 4:15 and watch as we end each camp day with a Showcase and the awarding of the Camper of Day award. Each day the campers will perform a selection of the show or share a project from camp showing what they learned that day. Campers are to be checked out in the Drama Room by their Counselor. Anyone picking up the child must be on the authorized pick up list and have the password. You may also give permission for your child to be Self-Checkout if they walk / ride / or take public transportation.
CAMP ATTIRE - Campers should dress comfortably and appropriately, no short skirts, short shorts or any other inappropriate clothing. Please no sandals or flip-flops. Jazz shoes are great for dance, if these are not available; dark sneakers or flexible shoes will suffice. For show day all campers will need Theatre Blacks = A solid black tee shirt with no graphics or adornment with solid black pants with black socks and either black jazz shoes or dark sneakers.
“SHOWTIME” - On show days, campers stay with us right up to show time. We will be celebrating with our traditional pizza party for $5.00 per camper. The performance is at 6:00 p.m. Location TBA. $5 admission per person is required at the door.
IAA Performing Arts Summer Camp, Teen Film Intensive, and Teen Musical Theatre Intensive will all take place at our location in Chicago. We are located at 3633 N. California Ave at Addison. We occupy the 3rd floor of DePaul College Prep HS (formerly Gordon Tech). Off campus Film Locations for the Teen Film Intensive and the performance space for the Teen Musical Theatre Intensive are TBA.
A $50 registration fee and $100 Deposit are required to secure a spot
Deposit and Registration Fees are Non-Refundable. Balance is due by June 1, 2018

Places Call Rate $250/week from March 1-April 30
Curtain Call Rate $275/week- After May 1
